The Board of education

  • The MSSD14 School Board The five member elected Board of Education meets in the SILC building on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. The first meeting of the month is a work session and no formal actions are taken. The second meeting of the month is a formal meeting and includes extensive administrative reports and action items. The primary work of the Board is to develop District policies and to insure policy implementation. School Board Goals 2008-2013 Adopted July 21, 2008

    1. Support the development and implementation of the strategic plan for the district, centered on Relationships, Rigor and Opportunity.

    2. Ensure effective and efficient use of district resources to pursue the district strategic plan while maintaining and enhancing the value of district facilities and grounds.

    3. Support community values, local traditions and good citizenship among our students, staff, and leadership team.

    4. Retain district students and attract choice students by promoting excellence and by gaining regional, state and nations recognition from District 14 students, staff and programs.
  • Board members are elected to four year terms of office and are “term limited” to eight years on the Board.

  • Molly Stevens, President

was elected to the Board of Education in November, 2009. She has been a resident of Green Mountain Falls for thirteen years. Her children attend Ute Pass Elementary School. Molly has a business degree from Indiana University and has worked as an elementary education teacher and in human resources in the education sector. She came into public education through Teach For America, and has long held the belief that “all children should have access to an excellent education”.
